Dutch 18th Century Cabinet on Chest

A small Dutch Walnut, marquetry inlaid Cabinet on Chest dating from c 1780.

The top with broken arch cornice above a pair of glazed doors enclosing a faded burgundy felt interior with single shelf. The sides with oval floral marquetry panel.

The Commode base of serpentine shape with two drawers, original ormolu handles, escutcheons, mounts and moulds throughout and resting on Cabriole legs terminating in ormolu caps.

Floral marquetry inlaid throughout, excellent condition and colour with various minor marks, scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use.
